These terms cover purchases from electronicaudioexperiments.com, operated by Hypertriangle, Inc. dba Electronic Audio Experiments, Waltham, MA. By placing an order, you agree to them.
Questions? contact us here.
1. Orders and pricing
All prices are in US dollars.
We may cancel and fully refund any order with a pricing error, a stock error, or signs of fraud.
We may limit quantities per customer on limited releases.
2. Preorders
Preorders ship within the window stated on the product page. If there are delays or changes to the timeline, we’ll email you.
Unless stated otherwise on a specific product page, you may cancel a preorder for a full refund at any time before it ships.
3. Shipping
Orders without a preorder window usually ship within one week.
All shipments are insured at full replacement value.
Please make sure your shipping address is correct. We are not responsible for packages delivered to an address you entered incorrectly. Re-shipping after a failed delivery will be charged at current shipping rates.
4. International orders, duties, and taxes
International customers pay any import duties, VAT, taxes, and brokerage fees. We will not declare a shipment below its value. The package carrier collects these charges before or at delivery. Check your tracking so your package isn’t held in customs.
If you select USPS Priority Mail International, they will transfer packages to your local postal service. Once the package is in your country, check your tracking number via the local carrier’s website for the most up-to-date information. (If you are dissatisfied with your local postal service, we recommend selecting UPS at checkout.)
To avoid uncertain import charges, consider buying from one of our international dealers.
5. Refused, unclaimed, or undeliverable shipments
If a package is refused, isn’t collected from customs or the post office, or can’t be delivered, the carrier returns it to us. International returns often take 6–10 weeks or longer.
Once the returned shipment is back in our hands, we will refund the order minus the original shipping cost. You can opt to have it re-shipped at your expense instead.
We can’t issue refunds before the package is returned to us. We are not responsible for packages lost during the return shipping process. If a returned package is lost, we will file a claim with the carrier and refund once the claim is settled.
6. Lost or damaged shipments
If a package arrives damaged, keep all packaging and email us with photos within 7 days of delivery.
If tracking hasn’t updated for 14 days domestic/30 days international, contact us and we’ll open a claim with the carrier. Once the claim is settled, we’ll replace the item or refund the order.
7. Returns
New products may be returned within 14 days of delivery, with a 10% restocking fee deducted from the refund.
Items must be in new condition, in the original packaging, and returned by the original purchaser. You pay return shipping.
Refunds go to the original payment method within 3–5 business days after we receive the item. We may charge additional fees for wear or damage.
B-Stock/Blem units and handmade finishes (such as acid etching) cannot be returned.
8. Warranty and repairs
Our pedals carry a limited lifetime warranty covering materials and workmanship for the original owner. Proof of original ownership may be required. We are happy to cover manufacturing defects as well as mechanical or electrical failure during normal use, which is determined at our discretion.
We will not process any warranty returns without some evidence of a defect (video, sound clip, pictures, etc).
In the case of a warranty return, mail the pedal to us, and we will happily take care of the rest. If a pedal is found to be defective within 30 days of arrival, we can provide a return shipping label.
Non-warranty repairs are billed at $30/hour plus parts and return shipping.
B-Stock units carry the same warranty except for cosmetic issues.
Repair or replacement are the only applicable remedies for a warranty claim.
Our warranty does not cover the following:
Cosmetic damage (if you don’t scratch it, are you even playing it?)
Environmental or liquid damage (if you dump a beer in your pedal, I have to wear gloves and I hate wearing gloves)
Heavy impacts (if you drop a road case on it, that’s on you)
Unsanctioned modification or repair work
Use of an incorrect power supply (over-voltage or reverse polarity - though we have substantial protection measures against both)
Any forms of misuse and abuse by the end user, including improper storage
Loss or theft
9. Firmware
Firmware updates are provided free through our firmware portal. Install them according to the published instructions.
Installing unofficial or modified firmware will void your warranty.
10. Payment disputes
If there’s a problem with your order, please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. We can almost always resolve it faster.
Orders under an open dispute are paused until the dispute is resolved.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
We’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Nothing here limits rights you have under your local consumer protection law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The version posted when you placed your order applies to that order.
